John Magliaro

John Magliaro joined St. Clair College Research and Innovation department as a lead researcher in 2022 after completing his BASc and PhD studies in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Windsor in 2016 and 2021, respectively. He is also a registered member of Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO), the Canada Society for Mechanical Engineering (CSME) and Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE). His dissertation research considered analytical, numerical and experimental investigations of a novel class of sacrificial energy absorbers which can actively modify/adapt their geometries for improved occupant safety. John has also completed several collaborative projects with industrial partners to solve practical engineering problems in the transportation and manufacturing sectors.
