Christopher Larabee

Christopher is pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering with a research focus on Industry 4.0, aiming to advance Canadian technological growth. His involvement in projects such as the Flex-Ion Digital Twin, Z-Modular, Circular Economy, and other automobility-related initiatives has sharpened his ability to apply engineering principles to real-world challenges in the automotive/EV and aerospace sectors. In addition to research, he holds program management roles in the molding, stamping, and additive manufacturing industries, along with small side projects in web and software development—all through his full time professional career outside of research.

Committed to furthering his expertise, Chris plans to continue his education at Wayne State University and pursue a Bachelor of Science degree, with the long-term goal of launching his own firm or consultancy. With a background that blends engineering, research, systems IT, and nearly 10 years of real-world manufacturing experience, he is eager to make a meaningful impact in the field. In his personal time, he designs and builds various contraptions (a hobby that hasn’t changed since childhood), continues to restore his classic car, and enjoys experimenting with reverse engineering and product design.
