Claire Prendi

Claire Prendi holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Mechanical Engineering with an Environmental Option from the University of Windsor. Through her cooperative education, she has gained experience working at Stellantis' Research and Development Department. Claire worked in the Brake Development lab, where she gained knowledge in performing and analyzing brake pad testing data, conducting e-coat testing, and developing alternative methods to reduce the environmental impact of brake dust disposal. She also has experience working in the Vehicle Safety and Regulatory Compliance Department, where she researched greenhouse gas and criteria emissions to facilitate regulatory development and compliance. In March 2022, Claire joined the St. Clair College Research and Innovation team where she works on projects as a lead researcher related to circular economy. Through the development and testing of various materials, she finds new ways to repurpose or reuse materials destined for landfill.
